Macon County libraries are working cooperatively to honor those who served in the Vietnam War and are planning a variety of events and displays.&amp;nbsp; Author and veteran Tom Jones will present &amp;ldquo;The Vietnam War and Today&amp;rsquo;s Military&amp;rdquo; at Forsyth Public Library on Saturday, May 11.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; The series of events will culminate with Decatur Public Library&amp;rsquo;s hosting of a traveling Vietnam War Memorial exhibit on May 16-19. &amp;nbsp;&lt;br /&gt;

&amp;bull;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;March 15 is the last day to place holds on materials in the old system.&amp;nbsp; New requests will not be accepted till April 9.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Any requests that have not been filled by Friday, March 22 will disappear from your record, as will any personal lists.&amp;nbsp; Print out a copy before this date so you can request them again after April 9.&amp;nbsp; We will be happy to help you with this.&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;bull;&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Library cards are required for checkout from April 1-9.&amp;nbsp; Make sure yours is ready!&amp;nbsp; We will not be able to renew cards or issue new ones during this time.&amp;nbsp; We will be using a very limited version of our new system and will not be able to look up patron information.&lt;br /&gt;
