Here’s what is coming up at Forsyth Public Library:

Monday, June 10 @ 10 a.m. ~ Zumba Party

The world’s most popular group exercise class is coming to the library! Join us for Zumba every Monday in June and July from 10-11 a.m. in the community room with instructor Jenny Ahlswede. From beginners to advanced, all adults and teens are welcome. Please wear tennis shoes and clothes suitable for workout.

Monday, June 10 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. drop-in ~ Scavenger Hunt

Stop by each Monday in June and July for a QR Code scavenger hunt. Discover new clues at the library each week for a chance to win a prize! Once you crack the clue, use a device to scan the QR code. The scavenger hunts are open to all ages and no registration is necessary.

Tuesday, June 11 @ 10 a.m. ~ iDevice Basics

Do you have an iPhone or iPad but feel like you really don’t know how to use it? Can you make phone calls and send emails but feel there MUST be more you can do? Come to this iDevice basics class led by Tricia Campbell and learn how to confidently navigate your iDevice. We’ll be starting at a very beginner level so don’t be intimidated! You’ll leave with tips and tricks to share with your friends! Please register in advance.

Tuesday, June 11 @ 2 p.m. ~ Yo-Yo Matt

Yo-Yo Matt showcases a variety of yo-yo tricks. This award-winning teen performer will wow you with his amazing skills! All are welcome to attend our Tuesday shows at 2 p.m. each week and no registration is required.

Weds. June 12 @ 9:30 a.m. ~ Baby TALK

Families with children ages birth to 3 are invited to our Baby TALK sessions on Wednesdays throughout the year from 9:30-10:15 a.m. Baby TALK is free with no registration required.

Weds June 12 @ 1 p.m. ~ Teen iMovie Making

Instructor Tricia Campbell will show you how to use the iMovie app so that future video projects, scholarship videos, or even sports recruiting videos can be edited in a snap! iMovie is a powerful video editor right inside your iPhone or iPad. If you have an Apple device, feel free to bring it along or use one of the library’s devices. Please register in advance.

Thurs. June 13 @ 12:30 or 2:30 ~ Brilliantly Broadway

Perform like the next big Broadway star! In this workshop, we will develop our “star-power” singing, acting and dancing to favorite musicals like The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid, and Annie. Young actors will learn songs and choreography from the shows and gain confidence to take the stage under the instruction of Decatur Park District Cultural Arts Supervisor, Alexis Riley. Please register in advance.

Thurs. June 13 @ 6 p.m. ~ Food for Thought Book Group

The Food for Thought Book Discussion Group will meet to share a taco bar meal and discuss Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine by Gail Honeyman.

Friday, June 14 @ 10 a.m. ~ Story Time – Scovill Mobile Zoo

Story Time fun for ages 2-5. No registration required and siblings are welcome.
