Books and Periodicals
The materials you need for work, school, or fun!
The Library has a dynamic and constantly growing collection
of fiction, non-fiction, and reference books for all ages. We also have
an ever-growing collection of large-print books. The Library subscribes
to a number of popular magazines and newspapers, as well as special materials
such as the Value Line Investment Survey. If you don't find what you need
on our shelves, our membership in the Rolling Prairie Library System allows
us access to virtually any materials you may need.
Children's Materials
Our children's department has books and magazines for children from birth
through sixth grade. Board books, picture books, and chapter books (including
Accelerated Reader titles) are among the fiction offerings, and in our
Juvenile Non-Fiction area, kids can find everything they'll need for homework
assignments, research projects, and just for fun!
Adult Materials
Looking for some light reading? In our adult department, you'll find popular
fiction, including romance, mysteries, westerns, science fiction, and
inspirational fiction. The fiction area also includes classic works of
literature and some authors you may not have tried before.
The non-fiction area includes books on any subject you
might want to learn more about. How-to books, cookbooks, history books,
and materials for homeschoolers are just a few examples of the materials
you'll find.
Magazines and newspapers are available in the periodicals
area. Titles such as Car & Driver, Woman's Day, Fortune, and Newsweek
are included in our collection, as well as a number of area and national
newspapers.
Young Adult Materials
Young Adults will find some really great reading in our Young Adult fiction
area. Popular authors such as Lois Duncan, Jane Yolen, and Gary Paulsen
can be found here, and more. Popular teen magazines are also located in
the Young Adult area.
Reference Materials
Encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases, telephone books, and biographical
sources are just a few of the helpful resources you'll find in the Reference
department. These books cannot be checked out, so we can be sure they
are always available to answer your questions when you need them.
