Summer Reading sign ups begin May 19. To sign you and your family up for our Summer Reading program, please come to Forsyth Public Library starting on Tuesday, May 19 during normal library hours. You'll complete an online registration form, we'll give you your reading log to mark off your progress and kids will receive their reading lanyard with their first brag tag of the summer.

Registration Required
The game of Pictionary - draw a picture to describe a word or phrase for your team to guess. Easy, right? Not necessarily. Pulling it off can be a challenge that winds up in a lot of fun and laughter. Choose your best team (2 to 6 per team) and register them with Pam, Adult Services Librarian, by calling 217-877-8174. You’re welcome to bring a snack; drinks will be provided.

Pinwheels have been an inexpensive children’s toy for decades. They’re easy to make and can be used indoors or out. Drop into the library and have fun making, then decorating a pinwheel any way you like. Available while supplies last.

May 7 as a drop-in day from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (painting must be completed by 7:00 p.m.)
May 8 as a drop-in day from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (painting must be completed by 5:00 p.m.)
This project is open to all, so invite friends and family, even if they don’t live in Forsyth.

Kids Bookmark Design Contest Reminder
Deadline is Monday, May 11
We’ve already received some amazing bookmark entries, but there’s still time to join the fun! If you haven’t picked up an entry form yet, come to FPL, take one home to create your design, then submit the complete form at the circulation desk. Winners will have their bookmark printed and shared at the library this summer! The deadline to submit your design is this Monday, May 11. We’re looking forward to see what you create!

Mother’s Day is Sunday, May 10. The day before, FPL will have a fun drop-in to help celebrate the moms and those who are like a mom. Bring the family and arrange some fresh flowers in a charming bottle together to gift to anyone you choose. Supplies are limited to one arrangement per family.

Join us at FPL for some out-of-this-world Star Wars fun! Make your own mini Lightsaber, a baby Yoda headband and decorate a Wookie Cookie. Also, help keep the bad guys away at our Nerf Stormtrooper Showdown. It’s going to be a blast!
