Join The Tech Guy, Abhi Morisetty, for an informative hour discussing general use of your devices, as well as making them more secure. Anyone aged 16 and up is welcome to attend. The meetings will be free of charge and no registration is necessary. Simply drop in during the program time and let The Tech Guy help make your life even easier.

Pokemon Club has been changed from Thursday, November 14 to this afternoon, Thursday, November 7 at 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.

They say "There's no such thing as a free lunch" but Rise Broadband and the Forsyth Library beg to differ. Register for Bingo! at the Library by 5:00 p.m. Friday, November 8. Rise Broadband is providing a tasty free lunch from McAllister's for you to enjoy during their presentation regarding their services. Bingo will begin at 1:00 with some special prizes, such as Roku and Amazon Fire Streaming Sticks, as well as gift cards from local businesses also provided by Rise Broadband. Registration is required by calling the library at 217-877-8174 by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, November 8. Don't miss out on some great food and fun games with friends!

Show Love to your Vet Card Drop-in

It’s DiNovember and we’re celebrating our favorite gone-but-not-forgotten creatures. Bring the kids into the library for popcorn and the movie, The Good Dinosaur.
Synopsis of The Good Dinosaur:
In a world where dinosaurs didn’t become extinct, a young Apatosaurus is carried off by a powerful river current and ends up far away from his home. He begins the journey home to his family and makes friends with a prehistoric human child along the way.

Adult Team Trivia Night
Thursday, November 7 - 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.
Ages 16+
Registration Required
Create your own team and join us for a four-round trivia match-up. There will be pizza, drinks and dessert available, with a prize for the winning team. Teams can be 2 members or more, with a maximum team size of 5 members. Registration is required as space is limited.

Our Nightmare on Elwood Street 3 Halloween Event was a huge success! There were games, make your own trick or treat bags, prizes, candy and a very popular Popcorn Bar. We loved seeing the many creative costumes, as well. This year's costume contest winners are the members of Mystery, Inc., better known as the Scooby Doo Gang - Daphne, Fred and Shaggy, riding in the Mystery Machine with Scooby. They'll receive a $25 Target gift card. Our Honorable Mentions are Sesame Street's Count von Count and Abby Cadabby. Congratulations to our winners and a big thank you to all those who participated in our fun-filled day.
It's your Lucky Day! Several of our Roku Sticks are available for check out. Pick one up today and enjoy watching something new this weekend. (one stick per person)

Come have a hair-raising good time at Story Time with Miss Kelsey this Friday, October 25 at 10:00 a.m. We'll be celebrating Halloween with creepy fun stories, activities and a craft to complete and take home. No need to be afraid... grab your adult and creep on into the library.

Don't forget to stop into the library this Saturday, October 26 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for our Nightmare on Elwood Street 3 Halloween Event. We'll have games, treats, a costume contest and lots of opportunities to make memories with the family. Also, the 121 Coffee Run trailer will be on hand selling your favorites as well as some new spooky-themed drinks. And to round out the day, head over to The Fabric Cobbler for their Halloween Party. Enjoy cookies, door prizes and their costume contest. It's going to be a eerily fun day around the block!




The library has TWO Take 'n Makes available this month and they're both tasty! Stop in and grab an Adult Pumpkin Spice Hot Cocoa Cup kit and/or a Kid's Muddy Pudding Punkin Patch kit. Kits are available while supplies last so please be mindful of others and take only what you need.
