Here at Forsyth Public Library, we believe that libraries are for EVERYONE and we are actively working on making our building and our programs accessible to all. One big improvement that we are excited to announce is the addition of an ADA Door Opener system on our front doors. With the push of a button, our library is now more easily accessible to patrons with mobility challenges or in wheelchairs. This will also be a huge help to those pushing strollers, carrying children, or just loaded down with lots of good books!

Calling all birdwatchers! Thanks in part to a generous donation from Pat Warnick and family, we are excited to add new birdfeeders to our outdoor space. Come grab a cup of coffee, pull out one of our birding books and see if you can identify some of our new friends!

Minecraft Selfies Tuesday, April 1 - 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. All Ages Welcome Ever wanted to see yourself as a Minecraft character!? Drop into FPL and create your own Minecraft Selfie using graph paper, crayons or colored pencils. Block out the date & time on your calendar so you don’t miss it!

Don't forget, our Library of Things also offers pickle ball and disc golf equipment.

Story Time with Miss Kelsey Friday, March 28 - 10:00 a.m. Ages 2 to 5, siblings welcome What's all the buzz about this week? Well, that has to "bee" Story Time with Miss Kelsey! You'll have a honey of a good time with our stories, activities and craft.

Sculpting with Clay Saturday, March 29 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. All Sculptors Welcome! Create anything you’d like using air dry clay.

Village of Forsyth Public Works staff are busy at work on a fun new project just outside the library. Do you have any guesses what it might be? Hint: It's not for our new Community Garden. Those raised beds will go in next week!

March Adult Take 'n Make Available beginning Friday, March 21 during regular library hours while supplies last This adult-only craft allows the maker to add a little touch of nature to their home or office. All you need is the kit and glue. Ask for a kit at the circulation desk

Have you tried Hoopla yet? Our FPL users are LOVING all of the audiobook options - including the very popular Kristin Hannah book The Women as well as the brand new Hunger Games book, Sunrise on the Reaping, which is Haymitch's story of his Quarter Quell.

Story Time with Miss Kelsey Friday, March 21 - 10:00 a.m. Ages 2 to 5, siblings welcome Story Time with Miss Kelsey celebrates the first day of spring with cute, fun stories and more! Don't miss out on a good time.

Make Your Own Bug Mask Drop-in Saturday, March 22 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Spring brings us warmer weather, lovely flowers and lots of bugs. Stop in and make a colorful bug mask to wear while enjoying spring and looking for the real thing in your own backyard. All Ages Welcome!

We've had lots of pi (and pie!) enthusiasts in the library today, but nothing beats an actual pi symbol tattoo. There's still time to stop by and grab a slice while supplies last. We're open until 5!

True Crime Club Tuesday, March 18 5:30 to 6:30 - Age 18+ Our True Crime Club takes place the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 5:30 to 6:30 and is open to adults 18 and up. For March, we’ll be meeting on Tuesday, March 18 and will be speaking about the Road Hill Murders that horrified 1860's England & detrimentally affected a man’s career by discussing the non-fiction book, The Suspicions of Mr. Whicher, as well as other subject matter. No registration required.

Window Painting Drop-in OUTDOORS! Tuesday, March 18 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. March 21 is the First Day of Spring so we‘re going to celebrate just a tad early. Before coming into the library, stop out front to try your hand at our custom-made mobile Window Painting display. It’s fun for any and all ages.

Story Time with Miss Kelsey Friday, March 14 - 10:00 a.m. Ages 2 to 5, siblings welcome Technology is great, but sometimes it's good to step away and create! Come to Story Time with Miss Kelsey and listen to some fun stories, plus do some free painting to make a one-of-a-kind piece that's State of the He-Art!
