If your family or business is interested in being a Summer Reading sponsor, it's not too late! Full info is available here: https://5il.co/3tkti. Our Summer Reading program kicks off in May and the fun lasts all summer long. During that time, hundreds of kids, teens and adults will take part by recording their reading time to earn prizes, attending programs and classes, and joining in our celebration. We have BIG plans for expanding our Summer Reading program and we appreciate the community support to make that happen.

Our 2026 Summer Reading theme is “Plant a Seed... Read!” and we need your help to do just that! We have BIG plans for expanding our Summer Reading program and we are looking for local businesses and individuals/families who would be interested in showing their support of FPL by becoming a Summer Reading sponsor.
Summer Reading Sponsors will receive:
- Recognition in the Village of Forsyth & Forsyth Public Library monthly newsletter, The Village Vision, which is seen by 1,650+ households in the community as well as shared on both websites
- Social Media Shout Outs on the Village of Forsyth and Forsyth Public Library’s Facebook pages acknowledging your support to our 8,500+ followers
- Your name and/or logo on our Sponsors banner displayed at FPL all summer long
Levels of Sponsorship include:
$500 - Program Sponsors: Each week, families gather on Tuesday afternoons at 2:00 p.m. for our weekly program. Anticipated programs include Mad Science’s Fire & Ice Show, Wild Time Exotics, Macon County Conservation’s STARLab and many others. Your support helps us bring in these outside presenters and make Tuesdays the highlight of the week!
$250 - Weekly Class Sponsors: All throughout the summers, our schedule is FULL of informative and engaging classes that kids, teens and adults can participate in. Tentative options include everything from teen-friendly cooking classes like “Will it Waffle?” and experiment-focused STEM classes for kids to gardening and craft classes for adults. There’s always something happening at FPL and your support makes these classes possible.
$100 - Community Garden Sponsors: Officially launched in 2025, the Forsyth Community Garden is back for its second season. Your generosity helps us grow and maintain the garden with all produce being shared right back into our community through the Sharing Table in the library.
$50 - Foodie Friday Taste Tests: Each Friday, we invite library patrons to broaden their horizons by taste testing a fun new food. In the past, we’ve tasted everything from unique flavors of fan-favorite Oreos to international candies and everything in between.
